WAMI is an artistic partnership founded by Yassen Wami and Hashim Teeh, who work together to make installations of furniture from new and used carboard. The poor material and basic, minimalist style they prefer are entirely at odds with a popular taste in Iraq for gilded home furnishings. Their ethos of "making do and getting by" - articulated with great wit - is a far cry from incongruous aspration. <br />
<br />
"Welcome to Iraq" is the  exhibition showcasing the works of eleven contemporary artists living and working inside Iraq curated by Jonathan Watkins, at the Iraqi Pavilion at the 55th International Art Exhibition of the Biennale di Venezia.<br />
<br />
Iraq is insinuated into the exhibition space at the Iraqi Pavillon, creating a salon atmoshpere where visitors can sit, read and learn about Iraqi culture and drink tea. In collaboration with the Iraqi National Library and Archive book and comica are available to read.<br />
<br />
The 55th International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale takes place in Venice from June 1st to November 24th, 2013 at the Giardini and at the Arsenale as well as in various venues the city. <br />

In 2016 a group of entrepreneurs decided it was time Naples had a bar where people could indulge in a lazy morning breakfast, a slow midday meal or a long afternoon tea – a place where the chairs are comfortable, the tables are an inviting wood and you are encouraged to stay and make your phone calls, write your papers and chat with friends. A bistro that encourages an indulgence in idleness, sitting between old radios and vintage chandeliers in a space where design and food are both thoughtful and high quality.<br />
<br />
Cisterna Cafè & Bistro was born inside the shell of an old building on Via Cisterna dell’Olio. The road – and the bar – is so called because of the four very large cisterns that once stood here, used to preserve the olive oil that arrived in Naples from all over.<br />
<br />
The Neapolitan Salvatore and Attanasia, who is of Greek origins, are the two friendly baristas-cum-bartenders who welcome customers each morning. “Here, we have clients who come to have breakfast and then they stay all morning working,” says Salvatore.

Park Slope è un quartiere benestante che ha il maggior numero di nascite, la qualità della vita più alta e principalmente abitato da una classe media di razza bianca.   • CASABLANCA, MOROCCO - 14 MAY 2016: Ali Abdul-Hakeem (32), the son of Luqman Abdul-Hakeem - a close follower of Malcolm X that chauffeured the African American activist around and introduced him to Cuban leader  Fidel Castro in September 1960 - serves tea as his brother Ahmed (28) listens to his father during an interview in his home in Sidi Maarouf, a district of Casablanca, Morocco, on May 14th 2016.<br />
<br />
Born in Cleveland, OH, in 1934, Luqman Abdul-Hakeem was raised in Flushing, Queens, and then moved to Bayside, where he graduated in 1952. He attended the New York Technical University for a few months before enrolling in the Navy, where he stayed for two years. Though he had asked for ship duty, he ended up in Springfield, Mass., and Glennclose, Ill. He moved to Brooklyn when his hitch was done and by 1966 was studying jujitsu and aikido. He met Malcolm X during one of his sermons on 116th street in Harlem, New York, in the late 50’s. In 1985, Mr. Hakeem decided to move to Marocco because America wasn't a country where he wanted to raise hois children. He has been teaching aikido in the two dojos he owns in Casablanca until 2014, when he underwent a surgery.

In 2016 a group of entrepreneurs decided it was time Naples had a bar where people could indulge in a lazy morning breakfast, a slow midday meal or a long afternoon tea – a place where the chairs are comfortable, the tables are an inviting wood and you are encouraged to stay and make your phone calls, write your papers and chat with friends. A bistro that encourages an indulgence in idleness, sitting between old radios and vintage chandeliers in a space where design and food are both thoughtful and high quality.<br />
<br />
Cisterna Cafè & Bistro was born inside the shell of an old building on Via Cisterna dell’Olio. The road – and the bar – is so called because of the four very large cisterns that once stood here, used to preserve the olive oil that arrived in Naples from all over.<br />
<br />
The Neapolitan Salvatore and Attanasia, who is of Greek origins, are the two friendly baristas-cum-bartenders who welcome customers each morning. “Here, we have clients who come to have breakfast and then they stay all morning working,” says Salvatore.
