In this working-class town of 37,800, the two young cousins grew up in public housing in the Rione I.A.C.P. district, in what neighbors described as troubled families. They also didn’t attend school, which in Italy is compulsory until the age of 16.

The violence on the two girls, cousins just 10 and 12 years old, took place over the course of many months. In this working-class town of 37,800, the two young cousins grew up in public housing in the Rione I.A.C.P. district, in what neighbors described as troubled families. They also didn’t attend school, which in Italy is compulsory until the age of 16.

The company SharDna, which was responsible for sequencing the blood of 13,000 donors, went bankrupt and had been bought at auction by the British company Tiziana Life. However, the Italian Privacy Guarantor had blocked everything by sanctioning that the that the ownership lies with the Dna donors themselves.
The World Guinness Record of the largest concentration of centenarians - 0.449 percent per capita - was achieved by the town of Perdasdefogu, in the island of Sardinia, Italy, in April 2022. At the time the record was set, there were 8 centenarians in a population of 1,778.

Sardinia has been identified as one of five regions in the world that have high concentrations of people over 100 years old: a total of 534 people across or 33.6 for every 100,000 inhabitants. But Perdasdefogu is unique because the number of centenarians in a town of its size is 16 times the national average.

Perdasdefogu shot to fame in 2012 when the Melis family, made up of nine brothers and sisters, entered the Guinness World Records as the oldest living siblings on Earth, with a combined age at the time of 818. The town’s longest-surviving citizen to date is Consolata Melis, the eldest of the siblings, who died in 2015, two months short of 108 years old. Antonio Brundu, who turned 104 in March, is the current oldest resident.

Director Fabio Cherstich’s idae of an “opera truck” was conceived as a way of bringing the musical theatre to a new, mixed, non elitist public, and have it perceived as a moment of cultural sharing, intelligent entertainment and no longer as an inaccessible and costly event. The truck becomes a stage that goes from square to square with its orchestra and its company of singers in Rome.
“Don Giovanni Opera Camion”, after “Don Giovanni” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is a new production by the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, conceived and directed by Fabio Cherstich.
