Mare Fuori (The Sea Beyond) is an acclaimed Italian series which takes places in a juvenile detention center in Naples, first aired in 2020. As of July 2023, the fourth season of the series is being filmed. In the series, Carmine and Filippo, two teenagers from different backgrounds, are imprisoned together in a youth detention center in Naples. They face challenges from fellow inmates and find hope through the guidance of prison staff, who encourage them to believe in a better, honest future. Produced by Rai Fiction and Picomedia, the series is mainly filmed at the Italian Navy's naval base in Naples.

The "Mare Fuor"i mania has generated tremendous hype, especially among the under 25 years old population in Italy.
