15 May, 2008 - New York, NY - Stanley Alpert is the author of the non-fiction crime book "The Birthday Party: A Memoir of Survival".
The book is based on Alpert's experience of being kidnapped in the streets of Manhattan in 1998, the day before his birthday. After a night it captivity, he was released in Prospect Park, Brooklyn.
